Crockwell Farm
A Practical Guide to Crockwell Farm
Crockwell Farm in Daventry, Northamptonshire, is a family-run wedding venue offering exclusive use for up to three days. The site features a 17th-century oak-beamed barn and modern starlit marquees. This setup allows couples flexibility in their ceremony and reception arrangements. Notably, the venue provides accommodation for both the wedding couple and guests across its nine spacious rooms.
Couples can choose to hold their ceremony indoors in the barn or opt for an outdoor setting in the Orchard Pavilion. The orchard provides a charming backdrop for those who prefer a natural setting. Crockwell Farm also offers dedicated services from Ross & Ross Events, known for their high-quality catering, ensuring good food is a highlight of the day.
Crockwell Farm Spaces and Details
The main barn at Crockwell Farm is a versatile space for ceremonies and receptions, easily accommodating different layouts. The starlit marquee connects seamlessly, providing an excellent area for dining and dancing. The grounds feature beautiful gardens that enhance the overall atmosphere and provide options for outdoor functions.
Reviews highlight the venue’s supportive staff. Many couples appreciate the team’s attention to detail and their ability to facilitate requests, making the planning process straightforward. DJ Logistics at Crockwell Farm
Access for DJs is crucial for setup and sound checks. Crockwell Farm allows early access for the wedding party the day before, giving DJs time to prepare. Guests have noted that the venue has power sources readily available, aiding in setup. The capacity of both the barn and marquee means there’s ample space for a dancefloor, which several reviews mention as an enjoyable aspect of their experience.
While the venue is equipped to handle various setups, it’s important to communicate specific sound requirements given the rustic nature of the barn. A few reviews have touched on how the acoustics of the space can affect sound quality, particularly with larger groups.
