Rivenhall Oaks Golf Centre, located in Witham, Essex, is set against a beautifully manicured 9-hole golf course. The venue offers unique outdoor and indoor spaces, appealing to couples seeking an intimate and picturesque environment for their wedding celebrations. Why it may suit weddings and events
The Oaks Pavilion is versatile, suitable for both ceremonies and receptions, and features a licensed bar along with a dance floor that invites evenings filled with music and celebration. Couples can host their wedding ceremonies outside on the terrace, which boasts scenic views of the golf course, or inside for more traditional nuptials. This flexibility allows for creative event flows, accommodating both formal and relaxed atmospheres.
Rivenhall Oaks Golf Centre’s setting makes it an attractive option for couples wanting to combine their wedding with elements of a country retreat, escaping the busy urban life. The presence of outdoor gardens and panoramic views adds a romantic touch, which might cater well to photography requirements during the event.
DJ setup and supplier access notes
Access for suppliers at Rivenhall Oaks should be confirmed, particularly regarding loading and unloading equipment. One review suggests a potential limitation on parking spaces, so checking on availability for vehicles during peak times would be advisable. Additionally, it’s important to ask about the setup position within the Pavilion to ensure adequate power points are accessible for DJ equipment and sound systems.
There are no specific mentions of stairs or access restrictions, but a DJ might want to clarify if there are any steps involved when moving equipment from the parking area to the pavilion. Confirming these details ahead of time will help ensure a smooth setup process on the day of the event.
Sound, timings and guest experience
Regarding sound management, DJs should inquire whether there are any sound limiters in place, as well as noise restrictions that might affect the evening’s entertainment. It’s also wise to clarify the evening reception flow and curfew timings, ensuring that both the venue’s schedules and the DJ’s commitments align for a seamless experience.
Good communication with the venue staff is essential to coordinate the timing of events, from the final song to the close of the evening. This will help to create a well-paced and enjoyable experience for guests.
