Pat Sharp is one of the UK’s most recognisable radio and television presenters, with a career spanning more than four decades across national radio, prime-time television, live events, corporate hosting and DJ performances.
Pat presented his first daytime show on BBC Radio 1 at just twenty years old in 1982. After a year on air, alongside numerous appearances on Top of the Pops, he moved to 95.8 Capital FM London, where he hosted the mid-morning show. During this period, he won a Gold Sony Award and, as part of the well-known Stock Aitken Waterman duo Pat & Mick, achieved five hit singles while helping raise £300,000 for charity.
His radio career has included major shows on Capital FM, Heart London, BFBS, Smooth Radio and Greatest Hits Radio. Pat now broadcasts nationally on Heart 80s from Global in Leicester Square, and also presents a Friday afternoon show across Norway on P8 Pop.
On television, Pat is best known as the long-standing host of ITV’s iconic Fun House, which he presented for a decade. His other TV credits include What’s Up Doc, Top of the Pops, The Weakest Link, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Come Dine With Me, The Wheel, Pointless Celebrities, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Through the Keyhole and Mastermind. He also appears regularly on Now 80s and Now 90s.
Pat was also an early pioneer of satellite music television, hosting Sky Channel’s Skytrax pop video shows across 28 countries during the 1980s.
As a live DJ, Pat has performed at major events including Snowbombing, Rewind and Let’s Rock, as well as international DJ sets in Ibiza, Norway and Dubai. He was also the DJ support act for the Bros reunion shows at The O2.
Alongside his presenting and DJ work, Pat has voiced campaigns for brands including Pampers, Rice Krispies Squares, The Daily Mail, Branston Pickle, Disney+ and Walkers. His biography, Re-Run The Fun, was also warmly received by fans.
With a huge amount of experience, a loyal following and a reputation built across generations, Pat Sharp continues to entertain audiences old and new.
